Paramount's "Street Fighter" is headed for first place at the domestic box office this weekend. The real surprise is a nearly three-hour documentary about Elizabeth Holmes.

The Capcom adaptation, made with Legendary, took in about $13 million on Friday, a total that includes Thursday previews, from 3,575 theaters in North America. Industry estimates point to an opening of about $31 million, according to Martin Cid Magazine and Hollywood Outbreak, both citing trade reports. Those figures are studio estimates as of Saturday. Final numbers come out Monday.

A documentary breakout

A24's "You Can See Everything," which follows the Theranos founder, earned about $5.5 million Friday from only 855 screens. It is now projected to make about $12 million to $14 million for the weekend, according to Martin Cid Magazine. Pre-release forecasts had it at $7 million to $8 million. Martin Cid Magazine, citing Deadline, reports that the total would be the second-best opening ever for a documentary, behind "Fahrenheit 9/11." Showbiz411 also put the film's Friday at $5.5 million.
